Know which Google ads turned into roofs.
I run Google Ads for roofing companies in Washington and Oregon. Every call and quote request is tracked to the signed job, so your report shows revenue instead of clicks.
October results
Example, not real client dataNext month
Move $600 from gutter cleaning ads to roof replacement. A replacement is worth about 15x more.
Your Google Ads says 40 conversions. Your phone says 12.
Most roofing accounts count the wrong things, and Google spends your budget chasing them.
Conversions that aren't leads
Button taps, page views and 5-second calls get counted. On one account I ran, Google reported about 12,000 conversions a year. Real leads were under a tenth of that.
No link to signed jobs
Nobody tells Google which call became an $18,000 reroof and which one was a $300 patch. So it can't tell good searches from bad ones.
Reports you can't use
Impressions, click-through rate, "engagement." None of it tells you whether the ads are making you money.
Every lead traced from the ad to the signed contract
Most agencies skip this part. It's also what makes the ads get better over time.
Someone searches
"Roof leak repair near me" in your area, and your ad shows.
A page for that job
A leak repair page, not your homepage. Easy to call or ask for an inspection.
They call or ask
Tracked with the search and ad that brought them in.
Into your system
JobNimbus, AccuLynx or whatever you use, or a simple sheet if you don't.
Google learns
Signed jobs and their value go back to Google, so it finds more like them.
One person running your ads, start to finish
Search campaigns
Built around the jobs you want more of, like replacements over gutter work, in the areas you serve.
Landing pages
Pages for your main services, with your reviews, licence and warranty up front.
Call and form tracking
Every lead counted once, with the search that brought it in.
Jobs sent back to Google
Google learns which leads signed and what they were worth.
Weekly cleanup
Job seekers, DIY questions, shingle shoppers and competitor names blocked every week.
A one-page report
Spend, leads, signed jobs, revenue and next steps. Every month.
Accounts I've run
Client names kept private. The fine print is there because it matters.
Home care company · Vancouver Island
Search campaign for Victoria, Oak Bay and Nanaimo
Five ad groups by service and city, 82 negative keywords to keep out job seekers and care home searches, and a call-first setup.
Nov 2025 to Sep 2026. Most enquiries were taps on the phone number, not confirmed calls. Tracking to booked consultations is what I'd add next.
Lead generation client · 5.5 years
$437K in Google Ads spend managed
Found that most of the 12,000 "conversions" Google reported each year were phone-number events, sometimes more than the clicks. Rebuilt measurement around real forms and calls.
Cost per lead measured the same way every year (forms and calls from Search ads). 2024 went backwards before 2025 recovered.

I'm Dennis. You'll deal with me, not an account manager.
I've spent five years running Google Ads for local and lead generation businesses, including a lot of time untangling tracking that reported the wrong things.
DP Media is just me, and I only work with roofers. I take on a small number at a time. AI tools handle the grunt work, like pulling search terms and drafting reports, so my hours go into your account and into talking to you. Every decision about your budget is mine, and I'll tell you when something isn't working.
I'll also tell you if ads don't make sense for you yet. If nobody answers the phone or your crews are booked out for months, more leads won't help.
Questions roofers ask
At least $2,000 a month. Roofing clicks often cost $10 to $14, and a lead from search usually runs $120 to $230. Below $2,000 there aren't enough leads for Google to learn what works. We'll set a number on the first call based on your area and what a job is worth to you.
Not for the work. I'm in North Vancouver, a few hours up I-5, on Pacific time like you. Everything is done remotely, you're billed in US dollars, and your ad account stays in your name.
Usually within the first week or two after launch. The first two to three months are about learning which searches bring signed jobs and cutting the rest, which is why there's a 3-month minimum.
In the Northwest, often yes. Fall and winter bring leak calls, moss damage and storm repairs, and plenty of those turn into replacements once the weather dries out. We can shift budget between repair and replacement searches as the seasons change.
No. If you use JobNimbus, AccuLynx, Jobber, HubSpot or similar, I connect to it. If you don't, I set up a simple sheet and whoever handles estimates marks which leads signed. About five minutes a week.
You do. It's in your name and billed to your card. If we stop working together, you keep the account, the landing pages and all the data.
No, and be careful with anyone who does. Lead volume depends on your market, budget, prices and reviews. What I guarantee is the setup: tracking that shows which leads became jobs within 30 days of launch, or the next month is free.
Yes. The free tracking check is a short video on what your site and ads are and aren't counting. For a deeper look, the $400 audit covers the whole account.
I focus on Google Search ads. It's where people with a leaking roof go first, and doing one thing well beats doing four things halfway.

I reply within one business day. If ads aren't a fit for you right now, I'll say so.
